For 25 years, Youth Alliance has provided a healing space and given a platform to individuals who are most impacted by social inequities and harmful societal narratives.
In our first 25 years, Youth Alliance:
Engaged with more than 6,500 young people and their families, and more than 60,000 community members in 2022 alone.
Created culturally responsive curriculum for students through the Dignity in Schools Campaign California.
Catalyzed people-centered neighborhood redevelopment initiatives that decreased violence and increased investment in what families need: safe, well-lit parks and recreation spaces, mental health services, and free afterschool programs.
Led outreach and education efforts using trusted messengers and our community relationships to create a 3% increase in county Census 2020 participation and high vaccination rates in our community.

We are deeply committed to helping young people heal, build self-confidence, discover their talents, and develop their leadership skills. Their strength and vision for the future give us hope that the criminalization of youth will ultimately be dismantled.

YA unlocks the transformative power of our youth by harnessing their creativity to create a better community.
Our model helps young people see their leadership potential and understand how current oppressive systems negatively impact their daily lives.
We help youth discover their voice to help create a better community for their family and others. We then foster their activism and advocacy toward policy change implementation.
First, we help youth understand what’s happening on an individual, community, and systematic level.
Then, we show youth that each one of them has a role to play and a gift to give. We educate them on the political process and civic engagement.
Once we develop their leadership, youth drive organizing and advocacy efforts to transform their schools and communities.
